Global Organic Textile Standard
Through our extensive network of organic farmers producing organic wool to the IFOAM and/or USDA NOP standards, Bloch & Behrens (B&B) can offer Scoured Wool and Tops independently certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
Responsible Wool Standard
B&B is certified to the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS). B&B products certified to the RWS contain wool sourced from farms independently certified to animal welfare and land management requirements.
EU Ecolabel (Eco Flower)
B&B has been a long-standing supplier of wool that meets the EU Ecolabel standard for Textile Products. The Standard aims to identify products that have a lower environmental impact along their life cycle. Specifically for wool, the EU Ecolabel criteria are strict on pesticide usage and effluent disposal from scouring and downstream processing.
New Zealand Farm Assurance Programme
B&B is a founding wool member of the New Zealand Farm Assurance Programme (NZFAP). Farmers are independently audited to ensure they meet the requirements set out by NZFAP. This standard underpins our Wool Integrity™ programme with emphasis placed on the on-farm practices and ensures that New Zealand’s strict Animal Welfare and Environmental standards are met.
